Bruce McNair:
Bruce had his first unassisted landing last week at KMGJ. He put the airplane down on runway 26 at Orange County all by himself while his instructor just sat there in awe of his beautiful technique and execution!
Bruce’s short-term goal is to perfect his landings and looks forward to soloing for the first time.
Kevin Woodside:
Kevin is a private pilot working on his instrument rating. A very challenging, but also very rewarding skill set. He flew in the clouds in actual IMC (instrument meteorological conditions) for the first time with his instructor. Kevin did a wonderful job controlling the airplane and dealing with the fast paced ATC, all without being able to see anything outside except for white!
Jose Garcia:
Jose recently completed his third solo flight, an adventure out to the practice area and back. This is often a student’s most memorable and confidence-building flight! Jose had a beautiful morning and enjoyed finding his way using his charts without his instructor there for assistance. He also enjoyed performing his ground reference maneuvers. What a way to start the day before heading to KEWR for work! Next steps: cross-country practice, then solo cross-country flying!
