Aero Safety Training, the flight school at Lincoln Park Airport, is pleased to host AeroCamp. This fun and educational program is available for young aviators between the ages of 12-18. AeroCamp this summer is perfect for both new AeroCampers as well as those who attended last year.
Camp dates: JULY 14 - 18 (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
The program gives AeroCampers an opportunity to explore aviation topics such as aerodynamics, airplane structure, navigation, communication, weather and careers through fun and interactive activities including simulator flights. AeroCampers will also have the opportunity to see, feel, and understand a variety of aircraft, including airplanes, helicopters and an autogyro.
Through visits to various facilities, including a working air traffic control tower, aviation history museum and maintenance facility combined with a roster of guest speakers, AeroCampers will be exposed to the variety and diversity of aviation.
The camp fee of $595 covers all activities and materials. AeroCampers can experience an Introductory Flight with an FAA Certified Flight Instructor for an additional fee of $175.00. An information and registration packet is available for download.
Registration paperwork and fees are due July 1, 2014.
Optional Introductory Flight may be added at any time before or during AeroCamp.
