Read: Fate is the Hunter - Ernest K. Gann

Go back in time and up in altitude with one of the most beautifully-written accounts of Air Transport ever written. Focused on the 30’s and 40’s, Gann shares stories from his vast airline and military flying experiences, framed in the context of risk management interacting with superstition…and luck!

Not only was Gann an extremely accomplished and experienced pilot, he writes in such a way his readers will feel they are in the cockpit with him, sharing his often nerve-wracking adventures.

This is a must-read for pilots and aspiring pilots, but any reader who appreciates thoughtfully written history will surely enjoy.

Watch: Tailwheel: 101 - Damian DelGaizo

This is the best resource out there for learning to fly tailwheel airplanes. Seasoned tailwheel instructor Damian DelGaizo of Andover, NJ, breaks down the art of tailwheel flying in a simple, easy to follow style. This DVD isn’t only for tailwheel pilots - tricycle gear and student pilots will benefit, as well. Fun and educational, with beautiful flying footage!

Listen: Stuck Mic Avcast - Victoria Neuville, Rick Felty, Carl Valeri and Len Costa

“An Aviation Podcast About Learning to Fly, Living to Fly and Loving to Fly”

Stuck Mic is fun and informative. It’s not overly-focused on any one aspect of aviation, but is a nice mix of conversations about flight instruction, technique, general aviation, airlines and news. Your hosts, including Carl Valeri from last month’s ‘Listen’ pick, are all passionate, involved aviators. You will learn a lot from this podcast!
