Allen Dunn, CFI, CFII

Allen Dunn grew up flying out of Lincoln Park Airport. His first flights began around age 5 with the EAA Young Eagles* program. His father’s lifelong interest in ultralight aircraft translated into several family road trips to the gigantic Oshkosh AirVenture events, and a childhood punctuated by a multitude of varied flying experiences around the country including flights in balloons, gliders, all types of ultralights, helicopters, and land and sea airplanes. When it came time to decide what to do with the rest of his life, Allen quite naturally pursued a career in professional flying.

At Daniel Webster College in New Hampshire, Allen became proficient in aerobatics, gliding, mountain flying, and conducting single-pilot, multi-engine charter missions around New England in its world-renowned dynamic instrument conditions. After auditing flight safety data as an intern with Northwest Airlines, jump-seating around the country several times over, and completing their B757 type rating training, Allen earned a double major in Aviation Flight Operations and Aviation Management. Allen completed CFI, CFII, and MEI through the Airline Transport Professionals (ATP) program and joined Aero Safety Training as a flight instructor in 2005.

Ever loyal to Lincoln Park Airport, Allen has accumulated over 3,500 flight hours and instructing in all types of airplanes and operations around the eastern half of the country.
