Ann Blazier, CFI, CFII, SEL

Ann Blazier took her first flight in a C172 as a teenager, followed a couple weeks later by a flight in a twin. “I put my next flight on hold until after I got through school and raised four kids. The oldest kid is less than 5 years older then the younger one,” Ann explains. “So their college, weddings, etc., came one after another and kept our savings account at the zero mark.”

Over the years, Ann worked part-time, then full-time, building her savings. She finally had enough money to sign up for private pilot ground school. “I was hooked when I was a teenager. Just going to the airport for the ground lessons added to the addiction. The first flight lesson convinced me to continue.”

Ann eventually completed her Private pilot training and became active with the North Jersey 99’s at Morristown Municipal airport. She has since been elected twice as President of the 99s and earned Commercial, IFR, CFI and CFII ratings.

Family responsibilities transitioned to grandparenting, and work brought Ann into aviation, first as a dispatcher at Caldwell Airport, then to Aero Safety Training as a flight instructor.

Ann testifies about Lincoln Park Airport: “This is the place to learn to fly.”
